Strike Systems' 7.4V 1300mAh LiPo is a compact and versatile airsoft battery that fits well in many AEG setups. At 25C, it delivers consistent power and a stable rate of fire throughout its capacity, and often provides noticeably faster response than traditional NiMH batteries. The battery comes in a 2-stick form that makes it easy to fit into tight battery compartments, even where a "lump" becomes difficult.
T-plug (Deans) – more robust and more efficient power transmission
This model comes with a T-plug (often called Deans), which provides lower resistance than many standard plugs. In practice, this means more efficient power transfer, often faster trigger response, and a plug that feels more robust when plugged in and out frequently. This is one of the reasons why many people choose the T-plug when upgrading to newer setups.
Where does 7.4V fit best?
7.4V Li-Po (2S) is one of the most popular choices for AEG rifles when you want a clear upgrade from NiMH without going up to 11.1V. It is particularly well suited to common setups where you want good response and reliability, but with moderate strain on mechanics and electronics. In short: a safe and effective “standard choice” for many AEG platforms.
Important: The weapon must have T-plug, or you need to use an adapter/replace the connector to fit.
Why choose Li-Po?
Li-Po batteries offer a lot of performance in a compact form factor. You often get more power and better space utilization than NiMH, while maintaining a more consistent rate of fire throughout the battery's life. This makes it easier to keep a tidy setup without long cords or external battery solutions, especially on carbines, PDWs, and SMGs with limited battery space.
Important things to remember for Li-Po
- Do not completely discharge the battery: Stop using the battery when you notice the firing rate dropping.
- Always use Li-Po charger with balancing: Li-Po should be charged with a suitable balancing charger (No exceptions).
- Charge before first use: New Li-Po should always be fully charged with a balance charger before use.
