Original replacement part from Tippmann: ball latch that holds the paintball in place in the chamber until the shot is fired.
Worth noting: A worn ball latch is one of the most common reasons a marker double-feeds or loses balls out of the barrel. It’s an inexpensive wear-part replacement that often solves feeding issues – handy to keep a spare in your toolbox.
The ball latch sits in the chamber and prevents the ball from rolling out or two balls from feeding at the same time. Over time, the rubber becomes soft and loses its tension, causing the marker to start behaving unpredictably. This one fits the Tippmann 98/98 Custom, A-5, X7 and FT-12.
