Muffler cleaner from the well-known Ballistol. Cleans dirt and soot effectively by itself, seal one side of the muffler, fill the entire muffler with Ballistol Muffler Cleaner and wait 2 hours and rinse out.
If there is a lot of dirt to be washed, you can heat the muffler up to 40 degrees and let the cleaner sit for 4 hours before rinsing.
