- Fully charge the battery before use: Make sure your battery is fully charged before you go on a match day.
- Use the correct battery type: Make sure you are using the correct type of battery (f.eks. NiMH or LiPo) suitable for your AEG.
- Store batteries correctly: Do not leave batteries in the weapon after play. Store them separately for safety.
- Shooting in short bursts: Avoid holding the trigger for too long. Shoot in short bursts to avoid overheating the engine.
- Avoid completely emptying the magazine: If the magazine runs out while shooting, it can increase wear on the gears.
- Use quality bullets (BBs): Avoid cheap or poor quality BBs that can jam or damage the barrel.
- Clean the barrel regularly: Use a clean cleaning stick to keep the barrel clean of dirt and debris.
- ¨Store your AEG safely: When you are not using your AEG, make sure to store it in a dry and safe place.
- Keep the battery contacts clean: Dirty battery contacts can cause poor performance or short circuits.
- Avoid shooting in the cold: Cold can negatively affect battery performance, so try to avoid using your AEG in extremely low temperatures.
- Pay attention to humidity: Avoid playing in heavy rain as electrical components may be damaged.
- Shoot individually in close combat: For better precision at short distances, use semi-automatic mode.
- Charge the battery after use: After a day of gaming, recharge your batteries so they're ready for the next game.
- Balance magazine capacity: Choose magazines with a capacity that suits your playing style. Hi-cap magazines can be noisy, while mid-cap provides smoother movement.
- Test before the start of the match: Always test your AEG before going out on the range to avoid unexpected problems.
- Be careful with LiPo batteries: If you use LiPo batteries, make sure you have a proper charger and that you don't overcharge them.
- Avoid completely discharging LiPo batteries: LiPo batteries can be damaged if they are completely discharged. Charge them before they reach the minimum level.
- Use BBs with the correct weight: Try different BB weights (f.eks. 0.20g or 0.25g) to see what works best with your AEG.
- Bring extra batteries: Always bring an extra battery on game day, especially if you plan on playing all day.
- Take breaks to avoid overheating: After long periods of play, give the engine in your AEG (and yourself) some rest to avoid overheating.
For electric AEGs, it is important to maintain the batteries, use the correct type of BBs, and avoid overheating by firing in short bursts. Proper cleaning, storage, and battery handling will extend the life of your AEG and ensure consistent performance on the range.
