Schofield No. 3 Aging Black – Classic full metal knuckle revolver (4.5 mm)
This Schofield No. 3 Aging Black is an authentic air revolver with classic top-break construction and a timeless vintage feel. The model has a black, aged finish combined with imitation wood grips that give it a historically accurate and exclusive look.
The revolver is powered by 12g of CO₂ and fires 4.5mm pellets that are loaded into realistic metal cartridges. Loading is done exactly as on the original – by snapping the revolver from the rear sight, which automatically releases the cartridges.
The construction is all metal and the manufacturer has placed great emphasis on authentic function, weight and balance. This makes the model equally suitable for range shooting and plinking, as well as for collecting and historical enthusiasm.
The story behind Schofield No. 3
The Schofield No. 3 was developed by Major George W. Schofield in the late 19th century, and quickly became popular with the American cavalry. The break-action mechanism made reloading quick and efficient – especially on horseback – and the revolver is now considered one of the most iconic top-break revolvers in history.
12 g CO₂ – how to prepare the revolver
Open the grip via the notch under the handle and insert one 12g CO₂ cartridge. Use the included tool in the grip to tighten the cartridge until it punctures. When the grip is replaced, the revolver is ready for loading the cartridges.
