Quick Release holsters allow you to draw the weapon straight from the holster without fiddling with clips or the like. The gun sits securely in the holster and cannot fall out.
The holster attaches to your belt and can be rotated 360 degrees. You can also use adapters and other parties to the holster, then the holster can be mounted on molle vest or on the thigh.
