What is the difference between Bio and Non-Bio balls? What is traceable? And what weight is best for your airsoft replica? There are many different 6mm BB's to choose from! The answer you can find here!
Bio vs. Non-Bio
Bio BB's are made from a degradable material that usually dissolves in nature within a few months. Non-Bio is made of plastic and takes many years to dissolve. There are therefore many clubs/courses that require you to use bio balls with them. Both because they want to save the environment, but also because they don't want courses full of BB's. On the other hand, if you play inside, there is not much difference whether you use bio or non-bio. Bio BB's need moisture to dissolve and you don't have that inside, so they have to be picked up there anyway. If you are wondering if bio balls work as well as non-bio, then the answer is yes, as long as you buy recommended brands and of good quality. If they are of poor quality, a powder can get on the BBs, which can cause them to get stuck in the barrel and can cause your weapon to "jam". Are you an environmental enthusiast, are one of those who follow rules and recommendations or just prefer bio balls, you will find our entire selection here! Below you see selected bio BB's!
Traceable
As you can see, it lights up at your opponent when you shoot! It can also seem a bit "scary" for your opponent when he sees that someone is shooting at him. These BB's work best at dusk, dark or night. You will find our entire range of tracer bullets here! Below you see a selection of tracer BB's and tracer devices!
Weight
So on to what is perhaps the most important thing in terms of choosing BB's - weight! Although it is often written on the softguns which BB's weight you should use, it is possible to vary slightly depending on which one need and which ones preferences you have. We have balls in the weight class 0.12g to 0.49g. Which weight type you choose depends on which weapon you use, output speed and where you will be playing (inside/outside and distance from the target). Many clubs have restrictions on output speed, so by using heavier bullets you can get a lower output speed and thus be allowed to use the replica you want. Generally speaking, when you are going to play, you want easier BB's capable of a higher output speed, but will again lose speed much faster than heavier ones. If you are going to play inside, it can be fine with slightly lighter balls, as there is no wind to spoil where the ball hits. We usually recommend from 0.12g to 0.25g when playing indoors. For games outdoors can by using heavier bullets get better length and accuracy. We then recommend that you use 0.25g, 0.28g or 0.32g. Especially if the target you are going to hit is over 20 meters. Brands and price
We carry our own brand which is of good quality. If you want to buy other brands, we recommend, among others, Novritch, Longbow, G&G and H&K. That's a lot of good so we recommend you try a few different brands and then find your favorite for your replica. There is also a slight difference in price compared to weight and brands, but in general we recommend that you rather spend a little extra (and not buy from a market in e.g.Turkey) for optimal performance! Poor quality bullets give poor precision, can be destroyed in the barrel and in the worst case destroy your airsoft!
